A Columbus-based robotics company specializing in artificial intelligence is accelerating its growth, surpassing $100 million in sales and announcing plans to create 100 new jobs this year.
Path Robotics Inc. has seen rapid expansion as defense contractors and manufacturers adopt its AI-powered welding systems to address ongoing labor shortages and strengthen U.S. manufacturing capacity.
The company tripled its annual revenue in 2025, driven by a surge in signed contracts that pushed total sales beyond the $100 million mark, according to company officials.
Currently employing around 150 workers, Path Robotics aims to grow its workforce to approximately 250 employees at its large-scale facility located on the far west side of Columbus.
As part of that expansion, the company is set to open a new 10,000-square-foot showroom next week. The space will showcase its latest technological capabilities and serve as a demonstration hub for potential clients and partners.
The remainder of the company’s 200,000-square-foot facility is dedicated to assembling its advanced welding units, which are delivered through a subscription-based “robot-as-a-service” model.
Path Robotics integrates computer vision and neural networks into its systems, allowing robots to identify, position, and weld parts based on 3D models—eliminating the need for complex manual programming by operators.
Company leaders say customer retention remains strong, particularly among small and mid-sized manufacturers. Some clients have significantly expanded their use of the technology, doubling or even quadrupling their orders.
The new showroom—known as the Intelligence Center—will highlight both current technologies and upcoming product innovations planned for the next two years, as the company seeks to stand out in an increasingly competitive AI market.
The company’s neural network has already processed data from welding projects valued at more than $600 million, covering materials such as steel and aluminum across a range of industrial applications.
Following a $100 million venture capital funding round in late 2024—one of the largest in Central Ohio in recent years—Path Robotics has continued strengthening its leadership team and positioning itself for long-term growth, including a potential public offering.
